The Australasian Society for Continental Philosophy was established in 1995-1996 as the revamped Australasian Society for Phenomenology and Social Philosophy. It is an independent, non-profit, volunteer-based organisation serving as the region's premier reference point for people working with Continental Philosophy across various disciplines. The ASCP holds a major international conference towards the end of every year.
